Matt Boyce PhD earned a B.S. and M.S. from the University of Arkansas in Geology and a PhD from West Virginia University with 20 years of experience in the Oil and Gas business. He began his career as a geologist and petrophysicist with years of expertise in exploration, development and appraisal of oil and gas assets.
His past work experience includes work at SWN and ExxonMobil where his contributions helped the companies maximize production and exploration. He continually pushed boundaries in the technical realm by learning and exploiting NMR in oil and gas, including patents.
His past technical experience and success has driven him to expand by starting a E&P business with the continued goal of using his teams experience to improve returns to investors in Organic E&P.
He has a passion for learning, exploring and creating new business.
Andrew J. Zitterkopf is an engineer with over 20 years of experience in oil and gas operations, drilling, completions, reservoir engineering, exploration and field development. Andrew graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (2001), Master of Business Administration from University of Texas at Austin (2015) and is a graduate of the Business Analytics Program at Harvard University.
In 2001, he began his career in the US Domestic Group at ExxonMobil as a drilling engineer. He gained a vast geographic experience in drilling and operations spanning US offshore to international operations including Equatorial Guinea, Chad, and Brazil. He also was one of the early adopters and innovators for horizontal drilling in the Fayetteville Shale.
He later transitioned to Reservoir Engineering and Reserves at Grenadier Energy Partners with success in the Midland basin. His continued expertise in the operations realm is utilized at OEP. In his spare time he dedicates time to volunteering at the Houston Marathon as the director of medical logistics.
John has nearly two decades of in-house experience and independent consulting. He heads all Land functions for Organic E&P as well as Business Development. John obtained his BBA in Energy Commerce from Texas Tech University (2008) and an MBA from the University of Houston (2012).
Previously John has worked in-house for Noble Energy (Permian Team), Sabine Oil and Gas (East Texas, Eagle Ford & Louisiana), and Southwestern Energy (East Texas).Throughout his career, he has had the fortune to work in just about every aspect of the upstream value chain and enjoys the relationships the Landman profession produces.
John is a member and Certified Professional Landman through the American Association of Professional Landman. He is also involved with a Houston Association of Professional Landman as the current President and a Past-President of the North Houston Association of Professional Landmen.
Randy Ponder has over 40 years of experience in exploration, development, acquisitions and divestitures at corporate and division levels. Randy is a proven oil finder demonstrated by multiple commercial discoveries both as an individual contributor and as a division leader.
Currently, Randy owns RDP Exploration and invests in oil and gas opportunities along with providing consulting services to the upstream industry. Randy holds a Masters in Science in Geology from the University of Houston.
